CWC Headquarters
Bethesda, MD
Size: 74,200 sf
Owner: Coakley & Williams Construction
Architect: FOX Architects
The Coakley & Williams Construction multi-floor office renovation changed the headquarters space dramatically. The recent renovation addressed advancing technology, mobility, work styles, and employee wellness. The new open and collaborative environment supports an array of workstyles while also expressing the company’s strong brand – THE BUILD MINDSET.
The DC based architecture firm, FOX Architects, opened sightlines and views to allow natural daylight to flow throughout, added amenity options to accommodate smaller group meetings, the Ground Up Café allows for larger gatherings but the spaces were balanced with options for individual concentration. The space also includes a Wellness Room, private offices and open work areas. The Preconstruction area contains “mini” offices that open to a larger Living Room space where the Precon group can meet to review budgets and bids, and also break out to a soft seating area for smaller team meetings.
